A plane bearing an Amazon logo overran the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday during landing, crashing into vehicles and resulting in multiple injuries. The extent of the damage or the seriousness of the injuries was not clear at the time of publication.

In the aftermath of the incident, the FAA released a statement saying:

21 Air Flight 7598 overran the runway after landing at Miami International Airport around 2 p.m. local time on Sunday, Sept. 6. The Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

As a result, flights at the airport were grounded and over 60 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units were deployed to the scene. When MDFR arrived, the plane was on fire and spewing heavy smoke, according to reports. Video from the scene posted by NBC 6 (below) clearly shows the Amazon logo on the plane’s tail and thick smoke rising from the scene where the plane came to a stop on the other side of the road from the airport.

Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel told The Verge:

“We can confirm that an Amazon Air plane operated by 21 Air experienced an incident while attempting to land at Miami International Airport today. This is a fast-moving situation and we’re still gathering details. We’re working closely with local authorities and officials to understand exactly what happened. Right now, our absolute priority is the safety, well-being, and care of everyone involved. We’re doing everything we can to support those affected.”
