The Amazon Big Spring Sale is wrapping up soon, so it might be the best time to pick up your favorite tech quickly. Right now, some of Apple’s headphones are still on sale, including the latest AirPods Pro 3. The wireless in-ear headphones are currently going for $199, which is their record-low price.
This is a $50 drop from the original price of $249, or a sizable cut that we’ve only seen a couple of times this year at this retailer.
Why You Need the Apple AirPods Pro 3
The AirPods Pro 3 represent a significant upgrade to the lineup. Introduced in September 2025 alongside the iPhone 17 series, they brought important enhancements and design tweaks.
While they still carry the familiar stem form factor, the earbuds were overhauled from the inside out. They are slightly shorter and feature a more ergonomic look for a more comfortable and secure fit. Additionally, the ear tips are now foam-infused, which significantly improves the passive seal. The earbuds are rated with IP57 dust and water resistance compared to IP54 in the AirPods Pro 2.
Internally, there are even more meaningful changes. A new set of audio drivers offers punchier low-frequency bass and clearer vocals. Regarding ANC, it is 2x more effective at blocking outside noise according to Apple. Furthermore, voice call pickup is much clearer thanks to a new array of high-fidelity microphones.
A standout addition is the heart rate sensor, which provides heart rate measurements while you work out. This complements the Apple Watch’s readings for more accurate and insightful health tracking. For those with hearing loss, the AirPods Pro 3 can also serve as a clinical-grade hearing aid alternative.
Battery life in the AirPods Pro 3 is generally better as well. The buds are rated for 8 hours of listening time, or 2 hours longer than the previous generation, while the case provides a total of 24 hours with ANC turned on. Speaking of the case, Apple has redesigned it to be more compact, and it now features a hidden LED status light.
