Today, Nintendo announced free updates coming to the Pikmin games in November and posted the full version of its “Close to You” Pikmin short film on YouTube, after it was initially released in the Nintendo Today app a few weeks ago.

For starters, Pikmin 4 is getting a little more beginner-friendly with a new “Relaxed” mode that dials back creature hostility so you won’t be attacked unless you strike first. If you’re not afraid to put your Pikmins’ lives on the line, there’s also a new “Fierce” mode that does the opposite and cranks up the difficulty. You can swap difficulty modes mid-game or at the start of a new game.

Pikmin 4 is also getting the costume-clad Decor Pikmin from Pikmin Bloom along with a new “Field Camera” photo mode. Plus, Ice Pikmin will be arriving in the Pikmin Bloom mobile game starting November 1st. However, there’s still no word on a Switch 2 update for Pikmin 4.
